According to AEROSMITH's official fan club, AeroForceOne, reports that AEROSMITH is performing at the Show Of Peace Concert in Beijing, China are erroneous, but the band's guitarist, Joe Perry, will be there taking part in the event.

The first annual Show Of Peace Concert is a globally televised event that will take place April 17 before an expected crowd of 100,000 at the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing. Also scheduled to appear are LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page, and the BLACK EYED PEAS.

The Show Of Peace will mark Earth Day, which is celebrated each year to promote awareness of environmental issues, promoter Rick Garson said. He called it the first-ever global peace and environment concert in China featuring world-famous celebrities and musicians, according to The Straits Times.

"Tickets are free," he said. "You can't charge for peace and green. It is going to be for everybody, it's like China's gift to the world and the people What we are going to do is raise money, obviously, from sponsorship, international distribution, merchandising, Internet, ringtones, DVDs, CDs. That's how we are doing it, it is being self-funded as we speak."
